GENERAL
Q. How are your prints made?
House of Exposure collaborates with each artist to produce an edition of the highest quality and to each artist’s specifications. Printing and production methods will vary from artist to artist and from edition to edition. Detailed information about the production of each piece can be found on the upper right hand corner of the product page on the site and will also be included on a separate print out with your order.
Q. How many prints of each edition can I buy?
Customers may purchase a maximum quantity of four prints per edition size.
Q. What is a limited edition?
A limited edition is a fixed number of identical prints of an original work of art numbered in succession and showing the print’s number and total edition size. Once a limited edition size is set and printed, no further copies will be reproduced at that size and in that medium. All House of Exposure limited edition items are subject to availability.
Q. How do I know the artwork is authentic?
Every House of Exposure print and work of art comes with a hand numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist. The artwork sold on House of Exposure is very often specifically created for or commissioned by House of Exposure; all works of art sold on the site are exclusively available through House of Exposure at the given size and medium.
Q. Are House of Exposure's prints archival?
Yes. Our archival pigment prints (also known as Giclee prints) are guaranteed. The packaging your order arrives in is also archival and is a perfect place to safely store your print.
Q. What is an archival pigment print?
Archival pigment prints are also known as Giclee prints, a term coined by print maker Jack Duganne which derives from the French verb “gicler” meaning “to squirt”. It refers to the printing process wherein archival inks are used to print an image from a high resolution digital file. Archival pigment prints are superior in color accuracy, rivaling more traditional printing processes; they can be found in galleries and museums around the world, and now here on House of Exposure.
