House of Exposure is honored to present this exclusive limited edition by Michael Dweck. Visual artist Michael Dweck is known for his seductive photographic style and pursuit of alluring subject matter, principally the female form and locales that offer their own particular enchantments. His work is a part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and has been exhibited world wide. This playful image is part of Dweck's Mermaid series, inspired by "...moonlit fishing expeditions on Long Island where, seduced by the ancient allure of the mermaid, Dweck imagined the shadowy shapes of fish passing swiftly by just under the surface to be the fleeting forms of beautiful women." Dweck’s Mermaid images, while often abstracting the female body in a painterly swirl of watery refractions, celebrate the physical charm of the feminine form and the meditative isolation of the underwater world.

For me, photography is not so much about capturing the moment or a decisive fraction of a second, though all photographs record an instant in time, a brief floating facet of the visible world.
