Pulitzer prize-winning photojournalist Edward Keating has captured the evolution of the city since the early 1980s, notably winning the Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of 9/11. Keating’s “New York” work was exhibited alongside Robert Frank’s “Americans” at the Pingyao International Photography Festival in Pingyao, China. In this iconic early photograph, Keating captures moment of reflection on the subway in a grittier New York.
